A special 5th 12" vinyl, featuring the recording from the session of his collaboration with Joss Stone, backed with an exclusive deconstruction of some of the songs featured by Nitin himself.

A double CD version of OneZero featuring exclusive images from the project in the booklet, with the second CD featuring selected rehearsal pieces, giving a unique insight into how Nitin approached the main live session.

A DVD of the story behind OneZero, in which Nitin describes how the project came together and the challenges he had to overcome to deliver the performance of a lifetime. Includes performance footage and an insider's view of the preparations and rehearsals for OneZero.

A 24-page colour booklet featuring the story of the project in words and pictures, plus an exceptional contribution from the Somerset House Artist-In-Residence, Paul Benney. Some of the key themes within Nitin's work naturally reverberate in Paul's art.

On April 6th 2013, Nitin Sawhney and his band of musicians went to Metropolis Studios in London in a bold attempt to record, in one take, highlights of Nitin's career so far plus some brand new, unreleased songs previewed from his (then) forthcoming tenth album, Dystopian Dream.

The fruits of that session are contained in this box set. Over seventeen tracks, Nitin and his band achieved what very few performers in the modern age of recording would be able to achieve - cutting live recordings, to professional studio quality, directly onto vinyl lacquers for replication. Performing without the aid of the safety net of modern recording techniques - overdubbing, re-recording, software fixes for any blemishes in the performance of the musician - is an audacious undertaking for any performer, let alone a band of ten people. 

Working with the team of engineers and technical experts at Metropolis in addition to Nitin's own technical team, OneZero is a fascinating document not only of the event itself, but of a career that has been longer, more varied and more creatively satisfying than any of his peers.

An astonishing 35 years after the last live, direct to vinyl mainstream recording, Nitin Sawhney rises to the challenge with his brand new past, present and future unplugged album OneZero. This retrospective was cut live to vinyl with his phenomenal band and special guest Joss Stone, featuring four brand new tracks. Uncompromised by the safety net of post-production editing, multi-tracking or modern sound correction techniques, Sawhney – boldly daring to go where no major artist has gone since 1978 – recorded seventeen songs from his back catalogue and forthcoming album, as old school as it gets, direct to disc before a live audience at Metropolis Studios on April 6th 2013.

Entitled OneZero to commemorate nine studio albums previous, this extremely limited edition of 1000 deluxe vinyl boxsets was released by Metropolis Recordings on Monday 24th June. OneZero features the entire performance across five 180 gram Vinyl LPs (cut live simultaneously with Nitin’s performance), and the deluxe boxset also features a CD version of the recordings, exclusive bonus session material across a further CD and on vinyl, a deluxe 24-page booklet featuring stunning artwork from renowned artist Paul Benney and a short film on DVD about the making of OneZero, along with three full-length performances from the session.
