Originally released in 1998, The Christmas Attic by the Trans-Siberian Orchestra tells the story about a young child exploring an attic in an old house on Christmas Eve. This album contains a mix of vocal and instrumental songs. The track Christmas Canon, one of the TSO's most well-known songs, is a variation of Pachelbel's famous Canon in D Major, with lyrics and new music added.

The Christmas Attic is being made available for the first time in a 2-LP set. The brilliantly remastered records are packaged in a seasonal gatefold jacket that includes a colorful 12-page booklet filled with the tale of The Christmas Attic as well as the lyrics to all the songs.

The album's narrative begins on Christmas Eve, when a young girl's curiosity leads her to a night of mischief and magic. She decides to sneak up into the attic of her parents' home while she should be asleep and there discovers a magical doorway to the past in the form of a mysterious trunk filled with ornaments, toys, old records and bundles of handwritten letters. A startling discovery in one of the letters, leads to an unlikely adventure.

The Christmas Attic has been brilliantly remastered by Kevin Gray, pressed on a 180 2LP-set by QRP, and comes packaged in a seasonal gatefold jacket with a beautifully illustrated and colorful 12-page booklet filled with the storybook tale of the album as well as lyrics to 17 songs including the popular Trans-Siberian Orchestra holiday radio hit, "Christmas Canon," a variation on Pachelbel's famous Canon in D Major.
