Recorded in 1969 and featuring a mix of rock covers (including Lennon and McCartney's "Yesterday" and Simon and Garfunkel's "Mrs. Robinson") and standards arranged and conducted by Don Costa, My Way showcased what would become Frank Sinatra's signature song in the title track. Captured in just one take the song charted in the U.S. and stayed on the U.K. charts for a record-breaking 75 weeks. Creating a middle ground between the traditional pop the crooning legend loved and the contemporary pop rock that dominated the charts in the late 1960s, My Way fully demonstrated that Sinatra's timeless artistry could encompass all music.
